Test Scores Interpretation

Interpretation of Test Scores For Class Placement

CHemistry placement

• Score of 35 or higher - Student can take CHE 120
• Score of 37 or higher - Student can take CHE 110 

English placement

• Score of 098 - Student must take WRT 098
• Score of 099 - Student must take WRT 099
• Score of 145 - Student must take WRT 101
• Score of 146 - Student can take Writing Intensive course 

Mathematics placement

• Score of 098 - Student must take MAT 098
• Score of 100 - Student must take MAT 100
• Score of 101 - Student can take Gen Ed Mathematics course

Foreign Language placement

• Score of 5 - Student has met the requirement

SAT Mathematics placement

• Score of 600 or higher - Student can take Gen Ed Mathematics course

SAT Verbal placement

• Score of 510 to 590 inclusive - Student can take ENG 101
• Score of 600 or higher - Student can take Writing Intensive course

P.E Waiver

• Score of 5 - Student has met the requirement
