LETTER OF AGREEMENT

 

SPECIALIZED WORKLOAD ASSIGNMENT

 

WCSU  Department of Education and Educational Psychology

 

For the life of the August 20, 1993 Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Connecticut State University American Association of University Professors and the Board of Trustees for the Connecticut State University, the parties agree that pursuant to Article 10.4 of said agreement instructional load credit shall be given as indicated below.

 

  1. An Education and Educational Psychology faculty member who administers procedures for admission to the Education and Educational Psychology Department shall receive every semester one (1) instructional load credit for every fifty (50) declared Elementary Education certification majors.

 

2.      An Education and Educational Psychology Department faculty member shall receive one (1) instructional load credit for arranging every eight (8) student teaching placements as required in ED 341, ED 342, MED 320, HSC 361, and HSC 362.

 

3.      An Education and Educational Psychology Department faculty member shall receive a total of one (1) instructional load credit for arranging classroom observation placements in ED 335 and ED 440.

 

4.      To satisfy Connecticut State standards, the Department shall establish and maintain cooperative professional arrangements with public school districts.  Faculty members shall receive three (3) to six (6) instructional load credits per semester upon the recommendation of the chair and the approval of the Dean to coordinate outreach activities.

 

5.      The generic methods instructor for ED 335 shall receive one (1) instructional load credit for five weeks of classroom instruction.

 

6.      Each content area instructor for ED 335 shall receive one (1) instructional load credit for the first one (1) to three (3) students and one quarter (.25) instructional load credit for each additional student enrolled in his/her content area.  The total shall not exceed three (3) instructional load credits for ten (10) weeks of instruction and supervision.

 

7.     An Education and Educational Psychology faculty member shall receive one (1) instructional load credit for every three (3) students supervised in ED 596.

 

8.     An Education and Educational Psychology faculty member shall receive one (1) instructional load credit hour for every three (3) students supervised in ED 760 or ED 761.
