Fresh Start Program
A previously matriculated student who maintained a GPA below 2.0 while studying at WestConn is eligible to apply for readmission under the following conditions:
- The period of withdrawal or suspension and readmission includes at least one year during which no college courses were taken. Remedial non-credit college courses in English and Mathematics are accepted.
- The student has completed not more than 60 credits with a “C-” or higher average, when applying for admission.
- Prior to admission, the student has satisfactorily completed ENG 098: Basic Writing Skills and/or MAT 098: Elementary Algebra, if appropriate.
- There is significant evidence of personal growth since withdrawal, as reflected in two letters of recommendation. A student may be conditionally admitted to the University with restrictions imposed on the number and nature of courses taken during the first semester of enrollment.
- A personal interview with the student may be required if deemed advisable.
