WestConn Alumni Visioning Visits
Over the years, many alumni have expressed a desire for a closer relationship and more personal interaction with WestConn. It can be very difficult to balance work, home, and family responsibilities along with the desire to maintain a relationship with WestConn through volunteerism, keeping up with campus news, and attending campus events.
That’s why we’ve decided to bring news of the university to the areas in which our alumni work and live. What does this mean? We want to make it easy for our alumni to learn more about what’s taking place at their alma mater. This is where we need your help.
We are looking for alumni interested in hosting alumni receptions in their communities. If you are open to hosting an alumni event in your home, please call the Office of Alumni Relations and we will take care of the rest. We will work with you to select a convenient date, contact alumni in your area to invite to the event, and work closely with you on other preparations leading up to the event.
In addition to staff members from the Alumni Office, WCSU President James W. Schmotter also will be present at your home event. The goal is to share the great programs and exciting initiatives taking place on campus with alumni, while answering any questions you and your guests may have. This is a great opportunity for alumni to connect with each other and reconnect with the university.
