Doron Ben-Ami

  Doron Ben-Ami lives in Brookfield with his wife and two children. From his home studio, he has been creating illustrations since 1979. His clients have included major publishing houses such as Harper Collins, Simon & Schuster, Disney Publishing, and Time Warner. His illustrations have been seen on advertisements for many internationally known brands.

Mr. Ben-Ami also works locally as a Musician. He has been playing guitar professionally since 1975. Currently, he performs in Connecticut and New York with a jazz band and a "wedding" band, which plays for a variety of private events, and makes appearances in local public venues.

Additionally, Mr. Ben-Ami is a writer. He has provided music reviews for the Fairfield County Weekly, and is currently shopping his book "Midnight At Mountain Pond" (which he is also illustrating) to various book publishers.

In addition to teaching at WestConn, Ben-Ami has taught at Wooster School, and has substitute taught at SVA and Parsons in New York. For the last twenty years, Mr. Ben-Ami has also been traveling to schools to talk to students about illustration.
