David Skora

David Skora has been working with themes in his paintings that include ideas about mysticism, dream fragments and subconscious imagery. He is particularly interested in the imagery that appears in his paintings with no conscious thought of its creation. He calls this "intuitive painting."

Intuitive paintings have a quality like that of a distant thought or fleeting memory.

Skora says the outcome of a successful painting is always amazing for it seems as if someone else has painted the picture and he is seeing it for the first time. He feel as if the creative source had guided him, the artist, through the completed painting to reveal an inner truth.
