First Day of Installation

The black painted wall at the Samuel S.T. Chen Fine Art Center in
Maloney Hall at Central CT State University is carefully divided into grids.

A level is used to ensure straight lines.

The squares are carefully numbered according to the chart provided by Caroline Beasley-Baker.

The students each chose six numbers, one for each object they brought from the assignment.

The students carefully measure to place each object in the center of the assigned numbered square.

Evin Liljengren '03, an English major from Southern, adds the blue china marker line to connect her two objects from her past.  An orange line connects her two present objects and a white line connects the two future objects she created for this project.
Caroline adds design to the pink beads framing the full piece.  Blue beads will be placed across the top.
Missy Tertovich '03, a graphic design major from WestConn, sorts her objects for placement on the wall. Nera Tertovich '02, a graphic design major from WestConn, discusses placement with her sister.

Ival  Stratford-Kovner, MFA '02
shows off her creation.

The student show will share the gallery with the
"Tell Me Why" Installation.
