Bridget Grady M.F.A. ’04 won 1st prize in the 36th Annual Juried Members Exhibition at the New Britain Museum of American Art. The juror, Jeffrey Anderson, Director of the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme, states: “My objective was to select work based on their successful realization of content and ideas, originality of vision, and proficiencies of execution in the chosen media.”  Ms. Grady’s oil painting, Sticks and Stones reflects her longtime fascination with the Connecticut woods.

Pamela Hochstetter, M. Div. '80 opened an exhibit of recent works in acrylic and oil pastel on canvas at the New Milford Library, 24 Main St., New Milford.  Click here to see her recent works at the New Milford Library.  Hochstetter assists people of all ages in reclaiming their innate creativity and individuality utilizing expressive/process painting. The show is an opportunity to see some of her own use of the process she trains others in. The show runs through May 14, open Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. Call (860) 350-1121 or visit www.inner-artist.com for more information.
Sylvia Reppin '94 was featured at The Richter Association for the Arts in its Look Listen and Linger program on May 7 & 8, 2005. Sylvia displayed her crocheted ponchos and scarves as well as her acrylics.
Patrick Burke '83 has again put his work up for sale on EBay.  Weather you are interested in bidding on them, or just looking at them, Patrick appreciates your time and trouble and would like some feedback.

Nancy White Cassidy '96 attended  the SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writer's and Illustrators) 6th Annual Mid-Year Conference, held at the Hilton in New York  Feb. 4 -7, 2005. 

Aline Marie '01 held a workshop Friday, January 14, 2005 -- from 9:30-12:00 PM  at YogaSpace
