| Marilyn Murray
Lindner is originally from New York and lived in the Charleston area of
South Carolina for two years. She is one of the first graduates of
the MFA program in painting. She has a BS in education
from D'Youville College in Buffalo, New York and a B.F.A. from Syracuse
University.
Marilyn was a co-coordinator for exhibitions at for the Society for New Music in Cazenovia in New York, and an awards judge for the Fine Arts Society of the Southern Tier in Binghampton, New York. She studied under artist Hugh O'Donnell and has won numerous art awards nationally and locally. This Spring Marilyn received her third grant to Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT. She also works on her photography and was invited to show her work in the Society for New Music Art Exhibit in Cazenovia, NY during the summer 2001. She was awarded the "Edwin Austin Abbey Scholarship" for mural painting for the 2002 summer workshop. Eleven artists were chosen from throughout the USA by the National Academy of Design in New York City for advanced studies in mural art for one month. Richard Haas, an illusionistic, architectural artist who has murals placed on facades in Asia, Europe and America, conducted the workshop. She can be reached at

Marilyn received an award for the category of MIXED
MEDIA and the winning work will be featured in the book, "THE BEST
