Vonda (Janson) Augustine '90 has been freelancing from home. She does many murals for clients and paintings. Her passion is illustrating the human body and hands using oil paint. She does a lot of work for herself as well.

Vonda is married and has two children.

Matthew Baron '90 plans on traveling through the Country doing odd jobs on his way to Colorado where he will open a tattoo parlor.

Pamela (Sundlof) Caraluzzi '90 is a staff artist at the Danbury News Times. She designs ads for the various accounts and specifically concentrates on advertising for cars.

Jack DePace '90 got his degree as an "afterthought". After retiring, he went to Western for his degree in photography. He then worked in the photo lab of the Community College in Winsted and is now again in retirement.
Kevin Gippert '90 has been living and working in New York City for the past 8 years. He works for a company called Archive Films/Photos as an account executive in the Broadcast Licensing Division. His position entails the licensing of Historic Films and Photos to broadcast clients. Some of the accounts that he works with are A&E's History Channel, Discovery Channel, ABC 20/20 & World News Tonight and VH1.

Matt Kornhaas '90 is the Creative Director of internet.com in Darien, CT. Matt's responsibilities are to apply his creative skills to advertisements, promotional materials, logo design and web site materials.

Matt also remains very active with his freelance business  having provided creative materials for the likes of; ConsultantTV, Gem Communications, Harman/Kardon, Honda, IBase Consulting, Jacksonville Jaguars NFL Franchise and Vertical City.

Terri Sileno '90,

Terri was the second place winner at the 2004 WCSU Alumni Art Show.

Other interests include fitness, kickboxing, hiking and skiing. 

Steve Wyness 90' has been an artist for 15 years and is currently working as an art director for a Medical Laser company.  He also provides graphic designs, illustrations, photography and sculpting at Steve Wyness Design (Click logo to enter).  Steve is married with two children and living in Utah.

Karin (Walko) Blankschen '91 is the public relations director at the Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut. . She provides advertising, marketing, public relations and communications for the Western Connecticut area. Karin can be reached at kariann1024@aol.com

Marlana Cole '91 is president of her own company MDC Enterprises, Inc which provides photo styling and interior decorating services.  Clients have included "This Old House", "Ethan Allen, Inc.", as well as many photographers and private clients.

She also co-owns a business called "Your Story.. A Life In Pictures" with 1998 alum,  Kristin McKeever, which provides wedding and portrait photography.

Laura (Went) Courtney '91 a past recipient of the Sturdevant Purchase Award  is often requested to photograph weddings but is now a full time mom to her two children. She also works part time as a bookkeeper. After working closely with Gayle Ficara at Joli Studios for many years, she continues to enjoy her photography.

David Fuda '91 is a partner in the photographic firm of "Image North-East,"at website www.imagenortheast.com, a firm concentrating on advertising, illustration, interior design and fashion. He works in all aspects of photography in studio and on location using both film and digital formats.

John Hungaski '91 is teaching in the Norwalk public school system as an art teacher.
John Kaluzynski '91 is a fifth grade teacher at the Turkey Hill Elementary School in Orange, CT. He tries to include artistic activities in all subject areas.

Maureen Kelly '91 does lampworking and makes glass beads. She travels the country to show her beads and also her finished jewelry. She also teaches classes and holds workshops to teach her craft.

Eileen (Costello) Portelance '91 is a freelance artist currently working on a project for Grolier Enterprises, Inc . She is the producer of both the Disney Calendar and the Barbie Calendar and is working on the illustrations for the Barbie Chapter book. Heather Scott '91 is an Art Director for Prentice Hall's Engineering, Science and Math division, based in New Jersey, working from her home office in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Heather hires designers, photographers, and illustrators for book cover assignments and text designers for book interior assignments. In addition to awards received from the Art Director's Club of New Jersey 1995-1996, in 2000 Heather received a second place award from the New York Bookbinders Guild, New York Book show for art direction of book cover design for the text: Mastering the Internet and HTML-author, Ibrahim Zeid.

Carolyn Wallace BA '91, MFA '02 has worked as an illustrator, educator, writer, editorial and photo assistant, and most recently as a singer.  She has traveled to Europe for study.  Visits to museums and artistic sites include locations in England, Switzerland, Greece and Italy.

Amelia (Meccia) Allen '92 works part time at Treasure Chest Advertising while raising her son.  She has worked at the agency full time since graduation and has been a part of many changes in the processes.  She does much of her work on the Mac via fetch and pbs files.

Katherine Berry '92 was an elementary school art teacher and is now enjoying her time as a stay at home mom.

John Dye'92 works freelance on various projects. He provides presentation design, graphics or commissioned painting.

He was commissioned by the Special Olympics for a still life to be sold during the televised auction. The painting is now hanging in a home in Greenwich, CT.

James Guertin '92  is the art director at the Vermont Teddy Bear Company in Burlington. Wayne Kocot '92 has been working as a muralist and is now concentrating in his studio in Danbury, CT with canvas and sculptures. He is married to Chantal Plante, a 1994 graduate of the Western art program.

David Stout '92 had been working in Denver, CO since 1993, but has returned to the area where he got his start back in 1990, NYC/CT.  Working as an artist/art director for many years, David branched out in 1996 and started programming interactive websites and relational databases, focusing on programming languages like JavaScript, ColdFusion and SQL.  David has taken a more holistic approach to designing, building and implementing large scale interactive and e-commerce web sites.  Because of this approach, David won the 2000 Summit Creative Award for his design work on XEL.com. 

Starting his own company in 2000 David has moved shop in 2002 so his son could be closer to his grandparents.  Now set up in Brookfield, CT David hopes his company Breeze Hill Interactive will enjoy the same success it experienced in Colorado.  Offering services in Art Direction, Web Design, Design, Interface Design, Print, HTML, ColdFusion, SQL, JavaScript, Director, Flash, Access/SQL Design and E-Commerce Development David enjoys being involved in any or all aspects of the project.
