Wendy Cahill '95  owns and operates a coffee house in Bethel, Molten Java and would love to see her friends come by.  She displays the art work of local talent on the walls and is looking for her fellow artists to show their work for a month at a time.  She can be reached at microgroov@aol.com.

She has recently added 5 new artists and will begin adding their work to her "under construction" website at: www.storybookartsinc.com  She is accepting submissions from artists interested in working in the children's illustration field and asks that they have a fairly consistent portfolio in place that applies to the children's illustration markets, have some experience working to deadlines and have some proficiency on the computer. They can send queries or samples to the info listed above.  She works with all major publishers throughout the United States creating works in the text and trade book markets.

Heather Derocher '95 is living near Boston and working at Harvard Medical School. She puts out 5 newsletters a month for Harvard Health Publications: Harvard Mental Health Letter, Harvard Heart Letter, Harvard Health Letter, Harvard Women's Health Watch, and Harvard Men's Health Watch.

She is Production and Design Editor and was hired to help with redesigning the newsletters, and to bring them to a higher level graphically.

Jolie (Konopaske) Fabrizio '95 is putting her career as a Program Director for Creative Services, PSG on hold to raise her son.  She continues to attend school in the evening at University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the Masters program for a degree in Education. Vincent Giannotti '95 completed his Masters of Fine Arts at Texas Tech University in printmaking  with a minor in sculpture and drawing. Texas Tech has a web site to view his portfolio.

Vincent is in Stillwater, Oklahoma and working at OSU as a staff TV producer/director on a daily show aired on the public TV station. He also spends time on interactive multimedia authoring and some digital asset management.

Juan Moreno '95, MFA '02 is a self contracted textbook salesman while he freelances at his art. He continues to paint, draw and work in stone and is currently in the Western MFA program. 

Juan studied at The Art Students League of New York from 1987 through 1996, receiving various awards and scholarships and is now a life member of the League.  He also studied at Taller De David Manzur in Bogota, Columbia from 1985 through 1986.

Mike Moskal '95 is working at The Graphics Foundry, a company he helped establish doing various jobs including project management, customer service and technical troubleshooting. The Graphics Foundry specializes in short runs of 4-color printing, delivery of finished jobs on very tight deadlines and one of a kind projects.

Nancy White Cassidy '96 is a children’s book illustrator, fine artist and fine arts instructor.

Nancy is a faculty member of the Washington Art Association as well as the Brookfield Craft Center  and Fletcher Farm School for the Arts & Crafts in Ludlow, VT, where she is conducting workshops in Perspective and Drawing this summer. She designed, and is webmaster for, the Washington Art Association and the Brookfield Craft Center.  She is also teaching at Naugatuck Community College.  Her work has been published by Barbour Publishing, Harcourt Brace, Scott-Foresman, among others. She has advertised in the Directory of Illustration, volumes 15 through 17 and will appear in Picturebook in the fall of 2001. Elisa DeLand '96 continues to paint and has received her masters in education.

Elisa was born in Peru.  Her interest in art was developed because she decided to take classes upon her arrival to the United States.  She won an award during her first exhibition and loves to look at the world through the eyes of an artist.  Her work can be viewed on line at http://www.geocities.com/deland_ct/

She is now working as a health aide for the elderly, ensuring that they are cared for and taking the proper medications.

Marsha Doran '96  was accepted into Vermont Studio Center for their residency program while at Western.  During the program she studied with Neil Welliver and Susanna Coffey.  She then went on to study one year in the Masters program at SUNY Purchase and continued her studies to get her Masters in painting at Boston University.  She studied with John Moore, John Walker, Alfred Leslie and Hugh O'Donnell.  While in grad school she began teaching at Belvoir Terrace, a visual and performing arts camp for girls in Lenox, MA. After graduating Marsha began teaching at different schools and centers in CT and NY.  She has taught at Naugatuck Community College, Teikyo Post University, Northern Westchester Center for the Arts, and with Danbury Adult Education. 

As well as running an open life drawing session at Washington Art Association, she is currently teaching at Tunxis Community College in Farmington and at Maimonides Academy in Danbury (in affiliation with WCAC).  Marsha continues working on her artwork in her studio located  in Danbury, CT.

Dino Ianniello '96  has his own design and interactive firm, ThincFactory (www.thincfactory.com) in Atlanta, Georgia. He serves a client list of regional and national mid-size to Fortune 500 companies including ChoicePoint, Georgia-Pacific, Intercontinental Hotels, and CheckFree. His company specializes in brand/identity development, print, interactive, multimedia, and video. Dino also serves on the board of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) Atlanta Chapter and is a member of the American Marketing Association (AMA), as well as the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
