Undergraduate Management Major
The overall objective of the Management Department's undergraduate curricula is to provide the student with the knowledge, skill, and perspectives necessary to succeed in entry-level positions and to prepare students who are currently working for advancement and promotion.
In addition to the BBA core, the Management major consists of seven courses. All students complete a four course Management core and select one of three options. Each option provides in depth knowledge and skills in a more specific area of Management.
The Management core is designed to give students a basic foundation in Management as well as to develop an understanding of Management competencies needed by all managers.
The Small Business and Entrepreneurship option is designed for students who plan to pursue a career in small business or who have the goal of starting a small business.
Choice of either:
- Supply Chain Management
- Business Applications Using Microcomputers
The Human Resource Management option is for students who want to pursue careers in departments or groups such as employee relations, human resources, or personnel.
The Supervisory Management option is intended for students seeking management knowledge prerequisite for supervisory positions in a variety of organizations.
