           Student/Alumni Mentoring Program -

The Career Development Center has launched a new Mentoring Program through its on-line system College Central.  This new program in collaboration with the WCSU Alumni Office and the Alumni Association, provides students connection to alumni in career fields of interest. Students can contact participating alumni with questions about a profession, preparation needed, career paths and more. Students must be registered on our College Central System and review the Mentoring Tip Sheet available in the CDC, before securing the password to participate in the mentoring system. Etiquette Dinner - Tuesday October 16th, 2007

The Career Development Center again hosted our very popular annual Etiquette Dinner Program entitled "Putting Your Best Fork Forward", on Tuesday October 16th from 5-8pm at  the Westside  Campus Center Ballroom. Author and Professional Etiquette Consultant Ann Marie Sabath addressed various topics including "Key Ways for Enhancing Your Professional Style"  and "Dining Etiquette". Information was also presented on effective  business communication including business etiquette in correspondence, making a positive first impression, networking, and international business and dining etiquette.  Further details available by contacting the CDC at (203) 837-8263.

 

 The Career Development Center schedules special career programs, frequently in conjunction with student clubs, organizations or academic departments. These collaborative efforts provide students with the opportunity to meet with professionals in their fields of interest. Special Career Days may also be arranged on a larger scale, depending on a space available basis. Check with the CDC for the latest information on upcoming programs and events.
