Qualified Transportation Account Program
The State of Connecticut recognizes that it has become increasingly
difficult to pay for transit related expenses associated with commuting
to and from work. It is for this reason the Office of the State
Comptroller is making the Qualified Transportation Account Program
available to state employees. This program offers a tax advantage in
helping you pay for qualified commuter expenses.
Eligibility: Full-time state employees that commute to and from
work using public transportation or incur parking expenses.
Advantages: This program lets you pay for the eligible
transportation and parking expenses with pre-tax dollars.
Program Parameters: IRS (monthly) allowable limits set
for 2009.
