Assistant Professor - Tenure Track Position 

Academic Year 2010-11

 

Western Connecticut State University is pleased to announce, contingent upon available funding, the availability of a full time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor for Fall 2010 in the Finance Department of the Ancell School of Business.

The Finance program at the Ancell School of Business includes tracks in financial markets and investments, and financial management, with an emphasis on practical financial applications. Students benefit from small classes, faculty focused on teaching and learning, and the opportunity to use current instructional technology. Teaching assignments include courses in undergraduate and graduate Finance, Economics and Business Statistics. 

 

Qualifications:  Primary consideration will be given to applicants who possess a Ph.D., or   D.B.A.  in Finance or Economics  from an  AACSB   accredited  institution.    Secondary  consideration   will  be  given to   ABDs   in  Finance  or   Economics  who  expect  to  complete  their  degrees  by   May  2010.  Preference  will  be  given  to  candidates  who can   present  evidence  of  scholarly   research, publications  and  an  active agenda  of   scholarship. Qualified  applicants  are    expected  to   demonstrate   excellent  teaching  at  the  university  level and the  ability    to  integrate  the use  of  technology  and  applications  using  real  world  data   into  their  courses.
