For faculty, Banner Self Serve provides them with access to their class rosters, student academic history information, the ability to electronically submit grades, and other information. - Why can't I enter my students' grades in Banner? Why can't I enter my students' grades in Banner?
In order to enter grades online, you must be listed as an instructor with the Registrar's Office. Please contact the Registrar's office. If you know you are listed as an instructor, please refer to the
entering your grades online document.
- How do I access INB off campus? How do I access INB off campus?
For security reasons, INB access from off-campus is restricted. For more information, please see the Guide to Using INB from Off-Campus.
There are no restrictions to using BSS from off-campus. Access to BSS from off-campus is also through the WestConnduit portal.
- What is Internet Native Banner? What is Internet Native Banner?
Internet Native Banner is used by departments responsible for the management of Banner information (e.g. Admissions, Alumni, Cashier's Office, Financial Aid, Fiscal Affairs, Housing and Residence Life, Human Resources, and Registrar).
In addition to the core Banner departments, INB is also used for the following functions:
- recruitment
- posting charges
- budget query
- online requisition
Access to INB for these functions are coordinated through Admissions (recruitment), Cashier's Office (posting charges), and Fiscal Affairs (budget query and online requisitions).

Banner Self Serve is website that allows individuals to access Banner information that is pertinent to them.
BSS allows students to self-register for classes, query Financial Aid information, make payments, and more. For faculty, BSS provides them with access to their class rosters, student academic history information, the ability to electronic submit grades, and other information.
As of Fall 2005, BSS is available only through the WestConnduit campus portal.

Banner is enterprise administrative suite that manages the university's production student, financial aid, alumni, and finance data. Banner is manufactured by SunGard/SCT and is used by all CSU institutions.
