The mathematics department at Western Connecticut State University offers programs that lead to both a BA and a BS in mathematics.  We offer BS programs in both Elementary Education and Secondary Education.

Departmental faculty have diverse interests including Algebra, Dynamical Systems, History of Mathematics, Statistics, Geometry, Teacher Education and Applications of Technology. 

Classes make use of technological tools including Maple 10, DERIVE, Minitab and the Geometer's Sketchpad.  Many courses make use of weekly laboratory experiments.
