Nov. 4 - 7 THEATRE PRODUCTION - "CITY OF ANGELS":  The WestConn theatre arts department will present "City of Angels" in the Berkshire Theatre in Berkshire Hall on the university's Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. Nov. 8 HOLIDAY WINE TASTING:  WestConn will host its 11th Annual Holiday Wine Tasting to benefit student scholarships from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Westside Campus Center on the university's Westside campus, Lake Avenue Extension in Danbury. The cost is $50 per person, and there will be a silent auction. Proceeds will support the Caraluzzi Scholarship Endowment. Reservations are limited. Nov. 12 STUDENT RIGHTS & RESPONSIBILITIES PANEL DISCUSSION:  The WCSU Justice & Law Club and the SGA Legal Clinic will host a panel discussion about "Student Rights and Responsibilities" at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Center Theater on the university's Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. Panelists will include WCSU Judicial Officer Charles Alexander, WCSU Police Sgt. Rick Montefusco, Professor Emeritus of Justice and Law Administration Dr. Harry Schramm, and WCSU alumni Lt. John Brown from the Danbury Police Department and Assistant States Attorney Sharmese Hodge. Assistant Professor of Justice and Law Administration Terry Dwyer will moderate the discussion, which will focus on jurisdiction and consequences of student discipline. Nov. 14 - 15 DEBATE TOURNAMENT:  WestConn's Roger Sherman Debate Society will host the Hat City Debates from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15, in Warner Hall on the university's Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. The question being debated will be: "Resolved: The United States Federal Government should substantially reduce the size of its nuclear weapons arsenal, and/or substantially reduce and restrict the role and/or missions of its nuclear weapons arsenal." Nov. 18 SCIENCE-AT-NIGHT PRESENTATION:  Berrien Moore III, a 2007 Nobel Peace Prize winner, will discuss "Climate Change: A Crucial Environmental Issue Facing Modern Society" at 7 p.m. in Room 125 of the Science Building on the WestConn Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. Moore is a leader in the field of climate change, shared in the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and has authored more than 150 papers on the carbon cycle, as well as numerous policy documents about the global environment. VISITOR PARKING ADVISORY: Western Connecticut State University offers several convenient, centrally located parking spaces for visitors to the university’s Midtown and Westside campuses in Danbury. Midtown visitor parking is in the lot next to Old Main and in designated spaces next to University Hall. Parking in the university’s White Street and Fifth Avenue garages is restricted to students, faculty and staff with hang-tags and/or parking stickers from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday; visitors are welcome to park in the garages all other times. Westside visitor parking is on University Boulevard. Visitors who cannot be accommodated in these parking areas are asked to call the University Police Department to make other arrangements.
