WestConn offers two main orientation programs for students entering in the fall and one compressed orientation program in January for new students entering in the spring.  Please click on the links below to see more information regarding each of the respective orientation programs. 

Students Entering in the Fall

The two orientation programs for students entering in the fall consist of our main orientation program during the third week of June and Welcome Week before and during our first week of classes.

June Orientation
In June students will have a chance to take their placement tests if they have not already done so, get their ID card and parking decal, computer passwords, books, etc. while at the same time meeting faculty, staff, and fellow students.  Parents will have the opportunity to attend valuable parent workshops.

Welcome Week
Welcome Week consists of a variety of programs scheduled before, during, and after the first week of classes ranging from workshops and lectures to barbecues, clubs carnival, movies, and concerts.  Parents are encouraged to attend workshops and tour WestConn on the first day of Welcome Week only.

Students Entering in the Spring

January Orientation is a short evening program scheduled for Wednesday evening during the first week of classes.

Both students and parents are invited to attend a Welcome Dinner and attend presentations and workshops afterwards.
