Coach Poole states:

“I came to Western Connecticut State University in 2006 because I believed there was a tremendous opportunity to develop the volleyball program back into one of the top programs in the Little East Conference and in New England. We went from an 8-16 record in 2006…to a 19-13 record in 2007, a post season ECAC bid, 3 players named to our All-Conference teams, the Little East Conference Rookie of the Year, and one NEWVA Senior All-Star recipient.  I never could have imagined such a dramatic turn-around within one year…and that is attributed to our players’ hard work and dedication…along with the commitment and dedication of our assistant coach Matthew Soderstrom.  It is an exciting time to be part of our Women’s Volleyball Program!”

2007 Record:  19-13 Overall  -  5-1 Conference

(11 more wins than 2006 season…1^st winning season in 4 years)
