Faculty Biographical Sketches
Karen Crouse, Department of Nursing
Dr. Crouse joined the faculty in fall 2002. Dr. Crouse received an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Hartford, 2003. Dr. Crouse is a Certified Emergency Nurse and was honored in 2005 with a Nightingale Award for nursing excellence. Current research interests include emergency department crowding, experience of newly licensed Registered Nurses in Emergency Departments, and use of popular films in nursing education. Dr. Crouse is the Vice-President of the CT Nurses Association, She recently served as the Chairperson of the Postiions Statement Workgroup for the Emergency Nurses Association. Dr. Crouse was recently recognized by Empire Who's Who for Executives and Professionals.
