Faculty Biographical Sketches
Colleen Delaney, Department of Nursing
Ms. Colleen Delaney is an Assistant Professor of Nursing Department at WestConn, and a doctoral student in Nursing at the University of Connecticut. She is also a Certified Holistic Nurse and Reiki Master. She has been a Registered Nurse for 21 years, and received her B.S. and M.S. from the University of Connecticut. She has practiced in both acute and home care settings with a specialization in cardiac rehabilitation, community health nursing, and holistic nursing. Her higher education experiences include staff education, undergraduate nursing at both Associate and Baccalaureate degree levels, RN – BSN program and graduate nursing. Her research interests include women and heart disease, health informatics, and spirituality. She is co-founder of Holistic Health Consultants. She received the 2003 Connecticut State Nurse of the Year Award.
