Technology in the Spotlight: E-Learning
What's new with e-Learning at WestConn!
Beginning in Spring 2008, WestConn will be using Blackboard Vista version 4 as its course management system. This is an upgrade of the Vista product from version 3 to version 4, so the transition should be fairly seamless for everyone. It has been piloted during the 2008 Winter Intersession, and well received.
Faculty and students will find that the interface has not changed significantly. Version 4 provides a cleaner, more user-friendly interface with many new features and enhancements, such as blogging, journaling, and peer to peer review! Whether you are teaching/registered for a fully online course, or using online components for face-to-face classes, students and instructors can login from anywhere to access their class materials and interact with one another.
